My
Qualifications:
I know that I would not trust somebody to do work for me without proof that they are qualified to do so. Below are photos of the qualifications that I attained in order to use the label of 'qualified genealogist/family historian'.

Gaining my Diploma:
My story during the year 2018.

Throughout the year of 2018, I worked hard to gain my Diploma in Genealogy. This was an online course with many different units to gain new information. Even though I have been researching family trees for a number of years before this course, I was still able to gain new knowledge and understanding about how humans have recorded their familial information.
The specific units I studied were:
-
An introduction to Genealogy.
-
Career or Hobby?
-
The history of surnames.
-
Using birth, marriage and death records.
-
Using the census.
-
War/prison/immigration records.
-
Using workhouse records and tracing noble ancestry.
-
Other sources available: wills, newspapers and research centres.
-
Recording a family tree on-line and other ways.
-
What to do with your findings and how to write up a family tree.
-
DNA testing.
